Swing Set

Liam will be 2 on Saturday, but we already put up his first Birthday gift.  Liam loves his swing set so much and has a blast climbing up and going down the slide.  We still need to get a todder swing for it, but hopefully we will have that soon.  He is a picture of the swing set and also a little video of him going down the slide.

Key Lime Pie!

KLP is hands down my favorite dessert.  I could eat it every day.  Being on Weight Watchers though, doesn't really allow for that.  But, then I came across this recipe and it is wonderful and only 4 point per slice.  I have made it several times and everyone has loved it.  It's light and refreshing and very easy to make.

I hope you enjoy it!

Not enough hours in the day

I've been a bad blogger lately, but it's only because I've been busy.  Instead of using my free time to do crafts and project, I have been getting ready for Liam's BIG party.  He will be 2 on May 28th and his party is on the 29th.  I'm working on decorations, favors, the menu and other finishing touches.  I can't wait to share pictures of the party with all of you.  I will give a little hint and tell you that the party theme is Dr. Seuss.  Until then, the posts might not be as often, but I will do my best.

Thanks for following!

Love It or Leave It?

I thought I would share, with all of you, a few of the things that I love and cannot live without.
1)  Up & Up diapers.  They are half the price of Pampers and work great.
2)  Baby placemats.  Great for when you're out and about at a restaurant.
3)  Method cleaners especially the mint scented glass cleaner
4)  http://www.resaurant.com/ when they have 80% off.  You can find some really nice restaurant gift certificates for really cheap.
5)  Essie Chinchilly gray nail polish
6)  Ugg Slippers

Things that I hate and are a huge waste of money.
1)  Huggies wipes!  They feel so cheap and scratchy.
2)  Avent sippy cups because they leak even though they say that they shouldn't
3)  Any type of stainless steel appliance cleaner.  I have tried them all and they all leave streaks.  The best way to clean your stainless appliances is a rag with a dot of dish soap and warm water.
4)  Bras from Victoria's Secret and the people who measure you at Vicki's.  Do yourself a favor ladies, go to a place like Nordstrom or a corsetiere shop and have a real professional measure you.  It will change your life!

So what do you love and hate?  Share some of your favorite things and things that are a waste of money.

Spring colds

I hate Spring colds.  Just as the weather starts to change, the germs come out.  Liam and I both have bad colds.  Fortunately, he is able to sleep through it.  I feel bad for Troy too though, because even though he is healthy, he is up listening to me cough and blow my nose.  Liam's cold seems to be much better and he is in a good mood and wants to play, thanks goodness!  I just wish I had the same energy that he has.

Here's to hoping that both of us feel better soon!  I hope you all stay healthy

You Are My Sunshine.

You are my sunshine.  My only sunshine.  You make me happy when skies are grey.  You'll never know, dear, how much I love you.  Please don't take my sunshine away.

Here's a very easy project that you can do for Mother's Day or any day for that matter.  I love it because it's another way to save their little hand prints.

What you need:  blue, yellow and orange construction paper, pencil, glue and scissors

Trace your child's hand on the yellow and orange paper 3 times.  Cut out all six hands.  Draw a circle in the middle of the blue paper (the sky).  Apply glue to the blue circle.  Arrange the orange hands, with the palm in the circle and the fingers pointing out as the sun's rays.  Do the same with the yellow hands.  Then cut out a small orange circle to glue in the middle of the sun.  It's as easy as that!

I hope all of the Moms have a wonderful Mother's Day and have a chance to relax and enjoy time with their children!

My son is 15 months. I'd like to make a photo book of his first 15 months. Something I've been putting off, but would love to do.

Thanks for the opportunity.
